I'll have mine on ice...

Our big snowstorm petered out quickly, leaving only about an inch of snow. Then the freezing rain came in and put a glaze over everything. It's beautiful outside, but treacherous! The upside is, we got the day off from school (I'm a former teacher now working as a part time instructional assistant) and once I do a few things around the house, I can play in my sewing room! I'm very excited...hopefully tonight I can check back in and show some pictures of what I've accomplished. Now to get to work....

Oh my, I didn't know you guys were part of what got hit by that east coast storm! So glad you are all ok, and kept your power. Freezing rain is pretty common in WI during the fall, winter and spring, but I must confess, it's the ONE thing I dread the most. Best thing to do is sit it out! Hope you had lots of time for YOU and got some sewing done...*VBS*

Carolyn: Don't you just love the unexpected days off but, if you're like us, you have to make them up. We had snow days Thursday and Friday but, like you, we mostly have ice.

Can't wait to see pictures of your accomplishments!

Ick. Ice. Like Finn, I hate it. I'd rather have snow any day. We got your snow though....I guess you just needed to be right at the right spot for this storm to get the snow. I've heard that VA got ice as well...so I guess us Pa folks were the 'lucky ones'.
Hope you have a productive day!

Love the pink under the ice - IF you have to ice, you just as well make it be pretty, eh? Did you get to play any at all in fabric, too>?

I hate the ice for driving - but it is so beautiful when the sun shines on it! Your pictures are great! I just love how the ice sparkles on trees and plants!
