It's pretty bad....

when my mom calls me and tells me that it's time to update my blog because I haven't done it in over a week! Truth be told, there has just been nothing to write about around here. If I were a good blogger I would have taken pictures of the 8 yards of mulch and 35 bags of cedar chips that we spread on Saturday. But I just wanted to get the job done! If any sewing had happened in the last week or so, I could have shown that. I did spend 6 hours on Friday sitting at the radiologist while my daughter had an upper GI done. I did a bit of hand quilting on the miniature that you see above while waiting. Those nine patches finish at 1.5 inches square! I was hired by Weight Watchers last week and did my first training on Friday night, I guess I could have blogged about that! But I didn't. Apparently, I'm slacking off on this blogging thing.

On the bright side, this is post 299! Leave a comment telling me where you are from (because I really want to know!) by Saturday night, and I'll enter you into a drawing to win some sort of quilty prize, which will possibly (but not definitely...) include some fabric, a pattern or two and most likely some chocolate covered pretzels from our local candy shop! (And Van, if I draw YOUR name, it will include a prize made of grain in place of the fabric. Unless you really want some fabric.)

I'm from Morden, Manitoba, Canada where it's not really looking much like spring yet. I think every quilter can use a combination of fabric and chocolate!

I misread you at first, thought you were offering grain - as in whole wheat as a prize. :P No, I believe you mean baked goods.

I'm from the south east corner of Arizona. Temps over 80 today. Somebody wanna send me snow? ;)

Hi sunshine! I am from Marietta, OH, the oldest city in Ohio. Beautiful vacation spot! On the confluence of 2 rivers, brick roads, majestic oaks, antique shops. Sigh. I love my little town!

I was born in the Washington DC area, but am writing to you from Ireland, where I have lived and quilted for 11 years now!!

I lost 70lbs with WW, too bad I found it again, but I worked as a clerk for the leader locally and loved doing it! I need to get back to WW but am just not in the weight loss mindframe so know it isn't the right time.

Quiltinggranna here from sunny (and sometimes stormy) north central Texas where the bluebonnets are glorious in their majestic royal blue, the Indian paintbrush are vibrant coral and sunny yellow and the winecups are like deep dark wine. The back third of our acre is all in wildflowers and this time of year finds me out wandering most days. I also reached my goal in WW years ago of losing 52 pounds but found it again over the years. But am happy to report that it's on its way back down again. And love love love that mini quilt with the 1.5"nine patch. Now THAT's inspiring!

Well I'm actually from a town just south of you, but now I live in Western NC. And I really don't care for chocolate covered pretzels, but I do miss Charles Chips pretzels and hoagies. Any chance I could win a hoagie?
