The random generator told me that comment 14 was the winning comment, so congratulations to
Jana from Wyoming!!!
Please send me your address and I'll get a package of goodies off to you!
I've finished the little nine patch quilt that I'd been working, on, it's all hand quilted and bound. Another project that sat for years for no reason! Although it's made from Christmas fabric, it goes perfectly on the wall of my sewing room, so there it will live. Those nine patches were tiny, weren't they? The quilt finished at 10 inches square.
I think I'd like to make another one to put on my antique sewing machine in my family room. Theoretically, it shouldn't take too long, but then again, this one shouldn't have taken over 5 years!
I got a migraine on Thursday night, which seriously curtailed my plans for the weekend. I stayed home from work on Friday, but once I got off the couch, I did get the house cleaned and the binding on the quilt. Yesterday I wanted to sew, but couldn't concentrate on anything complicated, so I pieced backs for the two lucky stars quilt. I used about 10 yards of fabric pieces that were laying about...I love how the backs look when they're randomly pieced. Almost like a second quilt.
Not much sewing will happen today. My youngest and I are heading to the new Ruby Tuesday for lunch, then to see "Made of Honor". It should be fun!

Lucky Jana! It's fun, isn't it!
LOVE the itty bitty little 9-Patch! How sweet!
What darling little mini *s*
Congrats to Jana.
Wow, that's so tiny, and so cute! Guess you really have to be careful picking fabric to use in these, anything with much of a design at all would look choppy... but yours looks wonderful. :)
Very cute mini!
Wow! That is little -- great idea to give it some perspective. Soooo cute!
Such beautiful workmanship on your quilt.
Sorry to hear about your migraine... Glad it is better.
How was the movie?
What a gorgeous little quilt. You must have a lot of patience to work with small pieces of fabric. I don't think I could do that.
I love the tiny 9-patch. pretty colours and great handquilting! They are so much fun to do!
