Sunday Stashbusting Report

Finally, after 10 years, I have finished my Grandma's Album Quilt! The backing and binding both came from stash and that's all I've used this week. It is so nice to have it done...this was my oldest UFO and I really never thought I'd get it finished. Now I'm planning my second applique quilt, but that one has a deadline...I'd like to have it to give as a gift next Christmas, and I'd like to hand quilt it. I'm going to do it...no more 10 year quilts for me!

Oh, that's beautiful! Congratulations on getting it done. I can't imagine how good it feels to have it finished. And, you did good -- backing and binding from the stash!

It's absolutely stunning! I've used that centre block, the house, in a quilt I recently finished, but I'd love to have a go at making the whole quilt. I've been saving the patterns for years.

That's a beautiful quilt! The stash usage is a nice bonus over having a UFO done and a new beautiful quilt.

Oh, I know how good you feel to have finished that, as I am currently stitching the binding on my own almost ten year quilt. Congrats and great job on a wonderful finish! It's beautiful.

Wow you really stuck with it. Was it hand appliqued? It turned out really nice. Will it be hanging in your dinning room?

What an incredibly beautiful quilt! You would NEVER guess it is a UFO from 10 years ago. It looks just as if you'd finished it from a pattern hot off the presses!

Wonderful color choices!

How great it must feel to cross that one off your list! And using stash for the binding and back...PERFECT!

Congratulations.

Wow, that looks great!

I really like the small squares as sashing between the blocks of different sizes, I'll have to remember that. ;)

It's stunning. There is a lot of work in this quilt and I can easily understand why it took so long to finish.

Carolyn, has it been 10 years? I know Grace was about 2 or 3 and Michael in grade school. He graduated from college 1 1/2 years ago! Yikes! This makes me wonder where the time has gone!! Your Grandma is gorgeous! It's almost like looking in the mirror. I wonder if the rest of our group got theirs finished.........

I saw your handsome son for a few days on your blog. Cute girlfriend too! How fast they grow!
