The boss went back to the auto body shop with a camera today, to get some good pictures of the car. (The one in the last post was taken on his cell phone.) He walked in and the guy said to him, "Is that your Ford out there?" DH said, "Yes it is," and the guy looked at him and said, "You should be dead." Yep, that pretty much covers it...
The car is full of glass...
The ice came right in on him...
The car is still full of ice...

Wow! Thank goodness he had the good sense to slow down!
Wow, scary, he is lucky to be alive! A few months ago, my nephew in Oregon was driving back to college and a hundred pound boulder came off the mountain and smashed through his windshield in the same location. He was told the same thing. Pretty scary that that stuff happens.
Wow!!! I never knew this could happen. Your husband certainly had an angel looking out for him. I will certainly be more careful when following cars with snow or ice on the top.
Amazing. Like Dot, I never knew such a thing could happen.
good job ducking and slowing down...thank God
OMG - that is so scary. I am so thankful that he's okay. I've seen this happen such a lot lately, but with snow coming off of car roofs. Dangerous as well ..... but what your DH went through just gives me the chills.
Ohhh my goodness! Your husband is so lucky. Sure does make us count our blessings. Maybe he could go get a lottery ticket - it's his lucky week.
*hugs*
