Better Day...
Today was a much better day than yesterday! I spent the morning cleaning house, doing laundry and all that fun stuff. This afternoon I headed up to my sewing room. The windows were open, there was a cool breeze blowing and I have a nice view of the green leaves and wisteria swaying in the breeze. I finished piecing the baby quilt for our friend's baby. It's WAY out of my comfort zone...so much color broken up by the black sashing. I love how it turned out. I'm thinking either clamshells or Baptist Fans in black thread for quilting...any thoughts? I'm hoping to load it on the longarm tonight if I have something suitable for a backing. This came completely from my stash!

Either one would be nice. I first thought baptist fan but then maybe I would lean towards clamshells.
I love this quilt - very cheerful. I would vote for the clamshells - I like them on a smaller quilt. However, BP works too.
I really like this quilt as well- what about concentric circles? for quilting.
Your baby quilt is darling...so bright and Amish-looking. Either quilting treatment would be terrific...very traditional-with-a-twist!
What a cute little quilt! Bright yet sane all at the same time! I think either quilting treatment would be great, as something curvey needs to happen with all those squares!
what a striking quilt! The thread looks like jewels sparkling in its cabinet too.
I think either the clam shells or fans will work - a nice panto could do the trick too! Love the quilt BTW, the black really makes it pop!
What a cheerful quilt. Congratulations on finishing the top :-)
Its a great quilt! The baby will love it. He/She will love the bright colors and it will grow with them! I think clamshells or baptist fan in black is a good choice!
what a beautiful stash baby quilt- very untraditional for a baby, but totally perfect!! LOVE it!
