Godspell

Two of my favorite 70's soundtracks were "Godspell" and "Jesus Christ Superstar". My kids listen to Superstar all the time. So for Christmas, my daughter decided to get me the movie. She didn't get the 70's version, but one made in 2000 which was almost a biker version. Quite interesting. This led us to Amazon, where we were able to get both the 70's version and a copy of Godspell. They arrived yesterday.

I loved the Jesus in Godspell. I thought he had a great voice. So, I looked at his name and saw it was Victor Garber. That didn't ring any bells, so I googled him. Turns out he's the same guy who plays Jennifer Garner's father in Alias! I can't believe it's the same guy, I never would have recognized him. It's amazing what 30 or so years can do to a person. I think he has aged rather well! :o) So, last night I sat and watched Godspell while I worked on hand quilting some old blocks from a swap many years ago. Quite a pleasant evening!

Wow, that is so cool! Alias used to be my favorite show ... until this season. SIGH. Yes, he has aged well! I love the Superstar soundtrack as well. I haven't seen the movie, but my hubbie and I saw the play and it was really great!!!

That's very interesting. I can tell it's the same person from the pictures you posted, but I never would have figured it out on my own. I've always loved that movie too. And we got to see a fabulous production of Superstar over the summer at the MUNY outdoor theater in St. Louis.
