Flu...

Looks like I'm homebound for the rest of the week. I went to visit the doctor this afternoon and he confirmed that I have the flu. So, I'm out of work until next Monday and have been instructed to relax and take it easy. I stopped at my chiropractor's office which is next door to my doctor and he told me to take elderberry extract as it's proven to shorten the duration of the flu symptoms by several days. So, I'm taking that along with Motrin and will be back to normal in no time.

Maybe I should rest at my sewing machine?

Take care of yourself, Carolyn. Do whatever the docs tell ya!
I love your carpenter's wheel -- it came out fabulous!

I'm so sorry you have the flu! By all means sew if you feel up to it, but stop right away if you start getting tired. Maybe a good time to sit on the couch with handwork. Or catch up reading quilting magazines and books.

Get better very soon!

I hope you get feeling better quickly. That flu is nasty business! Make sure to get plenty of rest.

You're not sending the rest of us any viruses are you?! LOL!

Carolyn, see how ten to fifteen minutes feels at the machine-if it is really calling to you..otherwise, you know the drill, rest, fluids, rest...

Hope you feel better soon! Thanks for stopping by and saying hello! I have hand pieced that DJ quilt, if you found your Carpenters Wheel block relaxing, maybe you should do hand piecing for your DJ!! Good thing to do while lying on a sofa recuperating too!!

Come by and visit often. I plan to do the same!

Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest! Lots of couch time can do wonders for you!

please take it easy and don't try to push yourself. Sew if you really feel like it but mostly you need to lay around on the couch and sleep. Maybe use this time to flip thru quilt books and magazines and start new projects.

I've had this crud for over 2 weeks and it's been just miserable. Hope you recover much quicker!

Sorry you're feeling under the weather, Carolyn. But elderberry IS a wonder! We usually have it in our cabinet, but are out now. And wouldn't you know it...4 out of 5 of us so far are either sick or getting sick.

I raise my mug to you for wanting to sew while sick with the flu! Cheers!
