A Quiet Friday Evening...

And I've been sewing. After returning home from the Philadelphia airport where I picked up a friend of my daughter, I grabbed something to eat and headed up to the sewing room. I wanted to quilt on the longarm, but thunderstorms were rolling through so I left it unplugged.

I wish I could get a picture of the blocks that shows the colors better...that light blue isn't nearly as bright as it looks!

I have a nice list of blocks to make for this quilt...thank you for all of your suggestions! I've decided to make almost all of the blocks that you have said were your favorites. You have all contributed to this quilt and it makes it that much more special to me. I'll need a lot of blocks, so keep sending the names of YOUR favorite blocks...there's plenty of room!

Thanks!!!

Those colors are truly lovely. I've seen them in person -- and you're right, the blue is so soft and calming!

As for favorite blocks, seems to be whatever I'm working on. Bear's Paws are fun, I just finished a couple of NY Beauties, I'm being tempted by baskets and there are always square in a squares and log cabins and well -- you get the picture!

I really like the color palette you have selected for this quilt! As for blocks - how about a pine tree block?

Just like the petals that are pulled from the flower - he loves me, he loves me not - each block will be unique. What a great plan *s*

My very favorite block would be a house block.
Those fabrics are so yummy. I just love that sweet daisy on the beige background. Lovely.

Love the colours and a great idea of using our favourite blocks. What about Honey Bee? Do you have room for that one?

I really like that collection of fabric. It used to be that I didn't really care for daisies, but I've had a change of heart over the past few years.

Such soft and pretty colors! My favorite block is called Cypress in Around the Block with Judy Hopkins. I don't know what it might be called in other books.
