Quilting...

I have completed Judy's February challenge...only a few days late! I finished quilting my nine patch today...I waited to take my pain meds until I had finished. And I needed them by the time I was done! The backing fabric is now gone from my stash, as well as the border fabric. Two large chunks of fabric gone to a good cause!
Yesterday I knitted another little hat...a pink one to go with the blue. Both the quilt and the hats will be going to the Caps and Laps program at our church...if they want them!

The good news is that I can stand and walk relatively normally today...as long as I take the muscle relaxants and the pain killers. I'm still hunched without them. I also noticed that if you enlarge the bottom picture, I overlapped the Baptist Fans a little bit. That will teach me to try to quilt on the longarm under the influence of happy pills! :o)

Keep feeling a little better every day - don't overdo it!!! Love your quilt - thanks very much for sharing as I now know exactly what to do with a pile of brown fat quarters sitting on my cutting mat! Hats are too cute! Even though my son was born in June and it was hot outside I used small caps the 1st few weeks inside because the A/C was keeping our house at arctic temperatures - my DH has high blood pressure and really minds the heat!

Cheers!

I sure hope your back gets better quickly. It is amazing how difficult life can be with a back that gives you grief. I sure hope it doesn't last too long -- and the little hats are so cute.

You poor thing! Remember to listen to your body...and not the prescrips. I have to chuckle though about your QUI (Quilting Under the Influence). A sense of humor will help you heal swiftly.

Your baby caps are simply adorable!!!

Congrats on the finish - and a good cause, too . . . I think you should get bonus points for that *s*

Glad you're walking a little.. take it easy. That sounds awfully painful!! The hats are adorable and I love the quilt, too. I have a "thing" for nine patches. If you think they wouldn't want those for the caps & laps... it must mean they are all crazy.

So sorry to hear about your back...take care of yourself and don't overdo. Pain is natures way of tellig you to take it easy and pain killers can somtimes make us ignore the warning signs.

That aside...love the little caps! I'm sure they will appreciate them.
