Sad Day

I just returned from the shelter. Last night Barclay was coughing up blood, so I knew we couldn't wait any longer. He is at peace now...I miss him.

Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and words, you have no idea how much you have helped make this a bit easier.

Oh, my, my. I am so sorry to hear about Barclay. He'll be waiting for you across the Rainbow Bridge, "smiling" like he is in the photo you shared with us. Did they ever figure out what it was that bit him?

... always a difficult decision. I'm so sorry that you had to go through this without your husband, and that he couldn't be there to say goodbye to Barclay. I hope you will find comfort in your memories of the dear sweet doggie.

you have my deep sympathy, we have had to do the same. It is heartbreaking, even when it is the right and loving thing to do.

The decision is made when they start to suffer. Our greatest gift to them is to let them peacefully pass to the next life and end the suffering. I've had to make that trip twice to the vets and it's never easy.

All my compassion and sympathy goes out to you and your family.

Such a difficult decision to make. My sincere sympathy. Pets are definitely members of the family and we do mourn their passing.

I've been away, so missed you post. But I just wanted to say that I am sorry for your loss. I have had pets in the past that I deeply loved and I still miss them today, but it is the only right thing to do - to let them go - when that time comes. The 2 of you were very lucky to have found and loved each other.

With warm thoughts...

Evelyn
