Tuesday Evening

I'm just catching up from the busy weekend, which included several highlights...my daughter's Confirmation and my son's 20th birthday.

Grace with Bishop Councell

Happy Birthday Andrew! (with his girlfriend)

The highlight of the weekend for me? After Confirmation practice on Saturday, we stopped for dinner at a local pub. We were ordering drinks and when I asked for a beer, the waitress looked at me and said, "Do you have ID?" Shocked, I said to her, "Are you serious? I'm 46 years old and you just made my day! If you don't believe me, I'd be happy to have a glass of water instead!" She brought me my beer and has made me smile for days!

I love getting carded too!! I live in a university area, so all the local restaurants card anyone who looks likely, but still. I love it every time.

So you're in NJ? And your son has a Red Sox shirt? Yay him!! (I'm in New England and have that same exact shirt--my husband does, too!!)

I used to get carded a lot but not so much anymore. The last time - I was with Keith and my son Adam. Adam wasn't drinking but I made him show the waiter his ID and told him obviously I'm old enough to drink since my son was 21.

Congrats on being carded . . . I used to get that a lot, but not so much any more. Sure was fun *s*

Oh, I remember the days when I used to get carded. How nice that at 46 you still look young enough to be asked.
