After a minute or so of blowing leaves, the motor made a funny noise. Next thing I knew, flames were shooting out of the back of the leaf blower! I pulled the cord out and blew out the flames...
But I didn't throw the whole thing to the ground...good thing with that nice pile of dry leaves I'd just made sitting at my feet!

So I went into my sewing room and played with fabric...

And made a new little bag for my daughter's friend.

Ye gods, look at that plug, ish. Much better to be quilting :-).
Yard work is dangerous! It's better to sew and make a beautiful bag for your daughter's friend. Won't she be thrilled? Great finish.
Whew! Quick thinking, NOT throwing it into the dried leaves!
LOL. Now if I could just repeat that trick, maybe I could get out of all the leaf work that will need to be done around here in the next few weeks! ;-)
Well, that's one way of getting more quilting time!
Playing with fabric is a lot safer than working with power tools . . . excellent choice *s*
Scarey!!! Better to be sewing...very pretty bag!

You are better then me. I think I mau have used that as an excuse to go fabric shopping. I am glad you did not get hurt.
Fabric sounds much more fun than blowing leaves. Glad you didn't throw it in the leaves -- though, that would be one way to get rid of them :0).
