Seamen's Institute

This year our church Caps and Laps program is knitting scarves and hats for the Seamen's Institute in New York City. Last night I finished the hat and scarf set that I'm contributing to our group's efforts. They were very tedious to knit, but I love how they turned out...I hope they help keep a mariner warm this winter! Now back to knitting socks...and busting stash!

Oh yeah, I've done those projects -- the ones that you want to gouge your eyes out while knitting, but in the end they are cute!

Mmmm. The set looks so luscious and warm. What a rich color! Mind sharing the yarn that you used?

Oh yes, some mariner will be very happy to get those at Christmas time.

Well, I consider yarn part of the stash, so in essence you were stashbusting. What pattern did you use?

I know nothing about knitting, but I am somehow going to use the phrase "busting a stash" in a sentence today
