One Top Done...

And one more to go. Of course I didn't have enough of anything for a border, so I decided to do a piano key border and use up some orphan strips. You'd think there would be some room in my scrap strip boxes now, wouldn't you? Nope...didn't make a dent and they're still packed in there! This was fun to put together!

Great job on the orphan block quilt. Finn certainly did start something, didn't she?

The piano key border is the perfect touch. I think it's much better than if it had been solid fabric!

It's a perfect border *s* Funny how those strips just seem to multiply no matter how many we use.

I think your orphan quilt turned out well - it is interesting to see all the different orphan quilts popping up and how you can see the colours each person gravitates towards. Very pretty colours. I see you have a few Dear Jane blocks up there in the previous quilt but you took them out :))

Those both look like some pretty good orphan block quilt tops to ME! I like the way that you were able to split them into thimbleberries type colors and brights... great!

And time to make a prayer shawl too, you have been busy. :)

Hi Carolyn, congratulations!! Now wasn't that fun??? *VBS* It's a gorgeous orphan quilt, very happy and cheerful, it looks like 'love'.

You did a great job, and I think the piano keys border was inspired.
And that overflowing scrap strips?? Hmmm...wonder what you could do with those? *VBS* Hugs, Finn
Look for your quilt to be featured tomorrow!!! *VBS*
