Not too much change in my design wall this week. I did finish all of the sashing strips for my quilt, although when I turned on the ceiling fan, they all flew off! I've also gotten started on the pinwheel blocks for the cornerstones. The first row of sashing and blocks are sewn together...I couldn't wait to see how it would look!
This is a closeup of one of the pinwheels...
Over to the left on the design wall is a project I've picked up again...Aunt Millie's Garden by Piece o Cake Designs. The top block is one I've had done for ages. The bottom block is what I've been working on in the evenings. I had set it aside when I was hand quilting and I'm so happy I can work on it again...I just love how these blocks are turning out!
Now go check out what others are doing at Judy's Patchwork Times!

Love the pinwheel cornerstones...very creative! And I know how much work goes into those applique blocks...great job!
That top up there with the striped sashing and pnwheel cornerstones is going to be great! The pieced sashing adds so much to the already very pretty blocks. I like the appliqué project too. I recently saw that one done in black and white prints on blue backgrounds and it looked great. I like your colors, they look very garden-y and organic. Are the batik?
Ooops, I giggled a bit at the thought of your ceiling fan blowing your quilt off of the wall -- sorry! I love those cute little pinwheels!
Luv the borders and the blocks too on your quilt.
the applique is stunning.
The sashing is perfect for those blocks. They look great.
The sampler quilt is gorgeous. I love that fabric line so much. The pinwheels for cornerstones is genius. Nice job.
Wow - all projects are beautiful. Love the applique - so beautiful. I've love your fancy sashing, it really adds zing to these blocks. Well done.
Great blocks, but I particularly like the Piece O Cake appliques, don't they do nice designs?
