Understatement...

Got a call from Andrew last night.  He says, "Mom?  I may have some trouble getting home.  I'm in my car and it's upside down.  I'm fine, but you may need to come pick me up."  He was on the NY Thruway, about 3 hours from home when someone cut him off.  He slammed on the brakes and avoided the car, but the woman in the Suburban behind him slammed into him, spinning and flipping his car into a ditch.  It's only by the grace of God that he is here today.  He grabbed his dog and held him until the car stopped moving.  They both walked away and Andrew only has a scratch on his ankle.  Miracles DO happen!

Holy cow. It's good he learned how to give information: "I'm fine" first. That's the thing every mother needs to hear first.

Thank goodness your son is ok! And his dog too! Yes, there are some miracles. We have had so many horrible accidents in my area in the past week.. so I am glad to hear someone is OK.

Oh my word!!! So glad to hear that he wasn't hurt. Sounds like the SUV was traveling too close.

You are right, miracles do happen.

Holy cow. I am so glad he is OK. Don't you just love those calls? Mine was "Mom, the ambulance is here to take me to the hospital. I cut my hand really badly." He's fine now, but your heart sure drops.
