Borders are on...

I got the borders on my Keepsake Squares quilt today. I had a hard time choosing colors...my first thought was a red outer border and yellow inner border, but I couldn't find fabrics that I liked. Then I went to a light orange inner border and yellow outer border. I got the orange on, but didn't like the yellow. So, off came the orange and I pulled out the yellow and blue. Now I love it! When I'm back to work, I'll be quilting this one.
I had a follow up visit with the doctor on Tuesday. All of the pathology on my tumor and cysts came back benign! I finally could breathe a sigh of relief...and say a prayer of thanksgiving. I didn't realize how much it was weighing on me until I got the good news.
And more good news....I found out yesterday that I had won a contest over at the Fat Quarter Shop's Jolly Jabber. I'm very excited...I'll post pictures when my prize arrives! Thanks to all the folks at the Fat Quarter shop...I've never shopped there, looks like I'll be starting!

Congrats on the clean bill of health and on winning the contest at the Fat Quarter Shop. I like your scrap quilt. I made a quilt similar to that earlier this year. It was fun.

Sooo very glad your tests came back benign! Wonderful news about winning the contest. And I simple love the border you've chosen. I'm inspired to find my mini-squares from KSQ and do something anything. And I'm actually going to have a night off as the main computer is going down Friday night. Wow, I won't know where to begin.

It is amazing how much lighter the center looks with borders on than your photo the other day. I love this one-patch--great job.

The quilt looks great with those borders. I'm back to sewing 2" squares together now too - the one think I figured I could sew with only one hand!

Congratulations on the great news concerning your tests - I'm sure you were very stressed waiting for the results. I know I would be. I'm so glad to hear about the negative results!

And congrats on winning that prize. I really like the Fat Quarter Shop. There service is marvelous, and they have so many wonderful things to choose from.
