Not much happened in the sewing room this week because I was too busy watching baseball! So, I have a fusible applique quilt in the making, I need to cut out all of the little pieces...
And I've been working on my applique block...still need to make the pinwheel that goes in the middle...
So, I have a design table tonight (yes, I'm cheating and writing this on Sunday night) and I'm working on them while I watch the Phillies in game 2 of the NLDS...
And that giveaway? Last week I was contacted by the publicist for Clare O'Donohue's new book, The Devil's Puzzle, which just came out. She asked if I'd be interested in receiving a copy of the book to review and another to give away. Of course I said yes! I'm reading it and so far I'm enjoying it. Clare will also do a guest post or a Q and A for us, so to enter...just leave a comment telling me what YOU would like to ask Clare O'Donohue! I'll post the winner on our next Design Wall Monday!
Let's go Phillies!!!

Oh, please count me in on your giveaway! I like your applique pattern -- it's very sweet. I'm having a fall giveaway -- I hope you'll come by and check it out! :)
Your applique is looking HOT! ;-D I can't wait to see it all together. Thanks for the fun giveaway, but don't count me in -- I have a way too high stack of books that need attention.
Your applique block is great! I'm not familiar with the books. But I'd read one if I won it! Looks interesting.
LOVE your beautiful block! I'm in northern California and am a huge SF Giants fan but since they didn't ditto last year, I'll root for your Phillys!
OMG, all those little bitty applique pieces!!! Do you straight stitch around all the edges to applique them? Whew! I haven't read any of the books, but they do look interesting! And from the description, I'm sure my DIL would be a huge fan :-)
Beautiful applique! I recently tried my first project, and am definitely hooked - like I need another kind of project. I've seen a couple mentions of Clare recently and have the first book on request at the library. I'd love to win one to read now! If I could ask her a question, it would be "Is there a 'dream quilt' that you would love to make someday? What is the pattern/method/fabric you will use?"
I have been working on Aunt Millie's garden for an absolute age now!! One day....
