Cathedral Windows

I thought I'd share the baby Cathedral Windows quilt I'm working on. This is as far as I've gotten, but I have lots more squares cut so I can continue working on this as time permits.

I've made some progress on Judy's quilt. My HST's are made and pressed and I'm working on trimming them. I have to start pulling fabrics for the little squares around the block...hope to work on that tomorrow morning.

I helped my son move into his house at college today. The previous tenants left it absolutely filthy and the landlord didn't have it cleaned. Another mom spent yesterday and today cleaning the upstairs and her daughter cleaned the living room today. My son's room is actually the dining room of this old house, so it's a good size and we were able to get it somewhat clean and set up so he was happy. Now they need to put a door on it so he can have some privacy!

Tomorrow I'll be doing a little cleaning (very little!), sewing and having another root canal. Do I know how to have fun???

I've never read about how to do these but I once watched some gal do them an "easy" way and even that was super complicated!! They look really beautiful and sweet! I really like the white against the nice florals!

your cathedral windows are very effective with the white... Hope they freeze well for your tooth, then maybe you will enjoy some quilting time :-)

Wasn't it fun helping him set up in his own place for school? I take it this is a house full of students? Did the landlord charge a cleaning deposit?

Love hearing your progress on the one hour quilt. The Cathedral Windows looks great. Wonderful way to use up little squares, and those are such soft colors.

I love your cathedral window quilt start! It is beautiful.

Glad your son is settled.

I feel your pain with the root canal--I just had an awful one myself at the beginning of July! I don't know which was worse--the pain before the dentist did the root canal coming from the root dying, or the process of getting the root canal. Hopefully, you will soon be on your way to recovery and paid free.

Your windows are really pretty.

I understand moving a son into a filthy house...been there. AND..most boys won't clean much after they move in!

Ouch on the root canal. Ice packs...lots of them

Love your little Cathedral Windows quilt. I've tried to make those before and just couldn't quite get it. Maybe I need to try again.

Nice cathedral windows!

The most painful part of the root canal is the cost!

Hope you find some time to sew - forget the cleaning.

This is so incredibly beautiful. Cathedral windows is on my list of things to make, and yours is tempting me to move it farther up the list.

Beautiful!

I love the florals with the white.

The demos I've seen make this seem so difficult.
