Thank you!

I want to thank everyone who suggested that I hand piece my carpenter's wheel block. I started piecing it on Tuesday and I can't believe how well it's going! The bias is not a problem so far and when I pressed what I had done this morning, it lay perfectly flat. I'm enjoying this so much. I especially love how the back looks.

I know...I'm way to excited about this! :o)

Carolyn, Strange post here, but my emails to you keep coming back. so I thought I would leave you a post instead. Anyway, concerning your comment in Tracey's blog about your hinterberg hoop. I have one and LOVE it - but I have the gooseneck - it makes a HUGE difference. It is worth the money. If I were you I would get it!

Your block looks fantastic!! Isn't hand piece fun?? I'm glad I don't have to hand piece everything, but it's nice to dabble in it from time to time. Very satifying I think..something about that needle and thread and the time it takes..*VBS*

Carolyn,
You should be excited about it! That's excellent work. One of the things I love about hand piecing is the ability to get blocks like that to lay down perfectly. I can never get those stars to look right when I machine-piece them. Good job!

Your block looks grat. I've found the few times I've hand pieced, the neatness of the back sure helps the ease of hand quilting... no nasty surprises of lumps and bumps! Keep up the great work
